They are used for this, then discarded in any shape or form. Some are even beaten to death in the UK. The owners are called "Chavs". It looks cool for young lads or men to be seen walking around with those type of dogs and whenever the dog has been used in fights, the dog is then hurt, maimed or killed. Like you say, those people ought to be thrown to the dogs mercy. They were the ones who taught the dog to be vicious in the first place.
