Okay, so here I am after much self-debate. New Year seems to be a good time to make a start on my own blog site and I guess we’ll see how it goes. Being new to this aspect of blogging, I’d appreciate bearing with me and eventually we can hope to have some fun (I know I will anyway but…that’s selfish!). Hopefully readers…even one!…will find something of interest or amusement in my meanderings…would that I could draw a map because pathways tend to criss-cross, trains of thought sometimes derail but, eventually, (or should that be sometimes?) the track is restored and a modicum of dignity prevails.
Let me wish everyone a happy, healthy 2008, grab a cup of coffee and see where we go from here.

Oooh…new! Just checking….
Its no wonder the internet is getting slower all these bloody wimmen with nothing better to do with their time, than clog up the system with cups o coffee. should be doing something useful like editing a story or something. bloody wimmen

So stop getting up at 6:05.
Get up at 5:06
Walk a mile at dawn.
Find a new way
to drive to work.
Switch chores with your spouse
next Saturday.
Buy a wok.
Study wildflowers
Stay up alone all night.
Read to the blind.
Start counting brown-eyed blondes
or blonds.
Subscribe to an
out-of-town paper.
Canoe at midnight.
Don’t write to your
congressman,
take a whole scout
troop to see him.
Learn to speak
Italian.
Teach some kid
the thing you do best.
Listen to two hours of
uninterrupted Mozart.
Take up aerobic dancing,
Leap out of that rut.
Savor life!
Remember, we only
pass this way once.
I came to this site seeking a free cup of coffee….lol. But instead, found what could be an interesting exchange of percolating opinions. I’ll drop in occasionally and see what brews.
Think this may interesting.
Not big on coffee, only glasses of water during the day: but hey, it really does not matter what we are drinking.
Nice to chat anyway. Looking forward to the next blog.
Interesting line from PupsDad
Start counting brown eyed blondes or blondes. Are there so few of us, or so many.
Comments please! I am one by the way.
I love Coffee!
Okay folks,
As I am not an addict to coffee, more a water drinker myself, although I am partial to the odd glass of brandy now and again, anyone wish to air their views on anything?
AnnieD, In response to your comment to my post regarding head counts, when I first wrote that piece in 1978, (at a tender age), such attributes seemed important for whatever reason. Having matured, my attention has turned to what’s beneath the hair and behind the eyes. I only count good human beings now who make a difference in my life. If I were to rewrite it today, that sentence and the one pertaining to woks would be reworked. The fascination for either seems to have lapsed.
Wolfbernz…stop by for coffee anytime! And thanks for your help…much appreciated. Good job I haven’t vaccumed yet…now I can gather up all the hair I pulled out yesterday, find some superglue and get back to some ‘re’-semblance of self.
Aha, Annied…see, that’s where the addiction to coffee comes in. Obviously I haven’t had my daily quotas or there’d be more reading here. The cure may be in the well but it needs a wee bit flavour and caffeine for me. As to airing views…ooooh, can I air ‘em so keep checking back.
PupsDad, I liked your wish for 2008…very well done! You might be right, though…more appropos to youth! Except for the Mozart, works at any age (and I still use a wok).
YKnot…don’t be shy or put off. I don’t bite so pop in now and again. As you can see, not quite percolating here…more like my coffee, it’s well…dripping slowly…but I’ll clean the pot and we’ll be good to go.
Thank you all for stopping by…I’m encouraged!
good job and glad youre tring to quit…
